Indications

Desvenlafaxine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders in adults. In addition, it is used in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorders and social anxiety disorders. Desvenlafaxine acts as a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which helps to improve mood and reduce anxiety in patients. It is important that this medication be used under the supervision of a physician, who will assess the suitability of its use and establish the appropriate dose for each case.

Composition

Each tablet contains 100 mg of desvenlafaxine as the active ingredient. In addition to this component, the formulation includes excipients that allow for the correct administration and absorption of the medication.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desvenlafaxine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of mania or mixed episodes.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering desvenlafaxine to patients with a history of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or those at risk of seizures.
