Indications

Azgorfin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to azithromycin. These may include, but are not limited to, upper respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and pharyngitis, as well as lower respiratory tract infections, such as community-acquired pneumonia. It is also used in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as some sexually transmitted infections, such as urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. It is essential that the use of Azgorfin be based on a physician's clinical evaluation and bacterial susceptibility.

Composition

Each Azgorfin tablet contains 500 mg of azithromycin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the drug's formulation.

Contraindications

Azgorfin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin or any other component of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of jaundice or liver dysfunction associated with the use of azithromycin. Its use in patients with severe renal insufficiency should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, especially those with prolonged QT interval. The use of Azgorfin should be supervised in patients with liver or kidney diseases. Furthermore, the possibility of interactions with other medications should be considered, so it is important to inform the physician about all drugs the patient is taking.

Storage

Azgorfin should be stored in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
