Indications

Atorlip (Atorvastatin) is indicated for the treatment of primary and mixed hypercholesterolemia, as well as dyslipidemia in patients at risk of cardiovascular disease. It is used to reduce levels of total cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins (LDL), and triglycerides in the blood, and to increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels. This medication is advisable for the management of patients with a family history of premature coronary heart disease or those with cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, or smoking. Additionally, it may be considered as a preventive therapy to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with pre-existing conditions.

Composition

Each Atorlip tablet contains 40 mg of atorvastatin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.

Contraindications

Atorlip is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of active liver disease or persistent elevations of transaminases, nor in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is also contraindicated in patients who consume excessive alcohol.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of muscle disorders, as well as in those receiving concomitant treatment with other medications that may increase the risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis. Regular monitoring of lipid levels and liver function is important during treatment. The use of Atorlip should be evaluated in patients over 70 years of age or with renal insufficiency.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
