Indications
Atorlip 20 mg is indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemia. It is used to lower levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein), and triglycerides, as well as to increase levels of HDL cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein). This medication is prescribed for patients with primary or mixed hypercholesterolemia, as well as those with hypertriglyceridemia. It is also used in the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with risk factors such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, smoking, or a family history of cardiovascular disease.
Composition
Each Atorlip 20 mg tablet contains 20 mg of atorvastatin as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, among others.
Contraindications
Atorlip is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atorvastatin or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients with active liver disease or persistent elevations in hepatic transaminases. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, or those taking other medications that may interact with atorvastatin. It is advisable to perform liver function tests before and during treatment. Additionally, it is recommended to periodically monitor cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Storage
Store in its original packaging, in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
