Indications

Atomoxetine is indicated for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents aged 6 to 16, as well as in adults. Atomoxetine acts as a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which helps improve attention and reduce impulsivity and hyperactivity in patients with ADHD. Its use is recommended as part of a comprehensive program that includes psychological, educational, and social measures.

Composition

Each Ultra Capsule contains: Atomoxetine 60 mg. Excipients: Gelatin, titanium dioxide, talc, and others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atomoxetine or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have taken them in the last two weeks. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or liver problems.

Precautions

Patients should be monitored for signs of changes in mood, behavior, or suicidal ideation, especially at the beginning of treatment or when adjusting the dose. It is important to evaluate cardiac function and blood pressure before and during treatment with atomoxetine. In case of experiencing symptoms of severe allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued immediately.

Store at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
