Indications
Aponistan V is indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by fungi, especially those caused by the fungus Candida albicans. It is used in the management of vaginal candidiasis, which is characterized by symptoms such as itching, burning, and abnormal vaginal discharge. Aponistan V acts locally in the vagina to eliminate the fungi responsible for the infection, helping to restore healthy vaginal flora and relieving associated symptoms.
Composition
Each vaginal tablet contains 100,000 Units of Nystatin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Aponistan V is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nystatin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in cases of vaginal infections that are not of fungal origin, or in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to similar antifungals.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Aponistan V under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Irritating intimate hygiene products should be avoided during treatment. If no improvement in symptoms is observed after a few days of treatment, it is suggested to consult the doctor again for a re-evaluation. It is important not to interrupt the treatment before completing the recommended course, even if symptoms disappear earlier.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
