Indications

Amoxicillin/Clavulanate 875 mg/125 mg is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including:

  • Upper respiratory tract infections, such as acute sinusitis and otitis media.
  • Lower respiratory tract infections, such as community-acquired pneumonia.
  • Urinary tract infections, such as cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections, including abscesses and cellulitis.
  • Dental infections, such as periodontitis and dental abscesses.

This medication combines the bactericidal action of amoxicillin with the beta-lactamase inhibitor, clavulanate, making it effective against bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics.

Composition

Each tablet contains:

  • Amoxicillin (as trihydrate) 875 mg
  • Potassium clavulanate 125 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanate, or other penicillin-type antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with amoxicillin/clavulanate administration.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or in those receiving other medications that may affect liver function. It is important to monitor renal and hepatic function during treatment, especially during prolonged treatments.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
