Indications
Turazive is indicated for the treatment of patients with chronic gout and for the reduction of elevated uric acid levels in the blood. Its use is recommended in patients who have not achieved control of their uric acid levels with other medications or who are intolerant to them. This medicine works by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase, which reduces the production of uric acid in the body, thus helping to decrease gout attacks and prevent tophi formation. It can also be used in patients with hyperuricemia associated with oncological diseases or treatments that may elevate uric acid levels.
Composition
Each Turazive tablet contains 80 mg of febuxostat as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to febuxostat or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with severe hepatic impairment or those with decompensated cardiovascular disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease and in those with renal insufficiency. It is important to regularly monitor uric acid levels and liver function during treatment. Likewise, the possibility of an acute gout attack upon initiation of febuxostat treatment should be evaluated.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
