Indications
Tukol-D Inf Syrup is a combination of Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan, indicated for the relief of dry cough and excessive mucus production in the respiratory tract. This medication is used for the symptomatic treatment of cough associated with respiratory infections, such as colds and bronchitis. Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant, helping to loosen mucus in the airways, facilitating its expulsion. On the other hand, Dextromethorphan acts as a cough suppressant, relieving the urge to cough, which can be useful to improve the patient's rest and quality of life during episodes of persistent cough.
Composition
Each 5 ml of syrup contains: 1 g of Guaifenesin and 0.1 g of Dextromethorphan.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe chronic respiratory diseases, or in those who present cough associated with asthma or emphysema. Its use is also contraindicated in children under 2 years of age without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases. Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or with other medications containing Dextromethorphan is not recommended. It is important to monitor for adverse effects and discontinue treatment if unexpected reactions occur.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
