Indications

Trulicity is indicated for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medication is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control. Trulicity can be administered alone or in combination with other oral antidiabetic drugs or insulin. It is designed to help reduce HbA1c levels and blood glucose levels, as well as to promote weight loss in overweight or obese patients.

Composition

Each Trulicity pen contains 1.5 mg of dulaglutide, a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) analog, as well as excipients suitable for injectable formulation.

Contraindications

Trulicity is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to dulaglutide or any of the components of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis, and those with a history of acute pancreatitis. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Trulicity in patients with a history of pancreatitis, gastrointestinal diseases, or in those with kidney or liver problems. Regular medical follow-up is essential to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment and the appearance of possible adverse effects. Trulicity should not be used during pregnancy and lactation, unless indicated by a doctor.

Storage

Trulicity should be stored in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once removed from the refrigerator, it can be stored at room temperature (not above 30°C) for up to 14 days. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
