Indications
Troferit (Dropropizine) is indicated for the treatment of non-productive cough in various clinical conditions. Its antitussive action works on the cough center in the central nervous system, providing relief in patients with persistent or irritating cough. This medication is useful in cases of cough associated with respiratory infections, allergies, and irritating conditions of the respiratory tract. In addition, it can be used in postoperative situations where it is necessary to reduce the cough reflex to facilitate the patient's recovery and well-being.
Composition
Each suppository contains 20 mg of Dropropizine as the active ingredient. Excipients: gelatin, glycerin and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Troferit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dropropizine or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with productive cough, as it may hinder the expulsion of secretions. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be evaluated by a physician, considering the potential benefits and risks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is important to assess respiratory function before starting treatment. It is recommended to monitor patients with persistent cough to rule out more serious conditions. In case of adverse effects, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
