Indications
Trinomia is indicated for the treatment of patients with established cardiovascular disease or those at high risk of developing cardiovascular events. This medication combines three active ingredients: acetylsalicylic acid, atorvastatin, and ramipril, which act synergistically to reduce the incidence of heart attacks, strokes, and other complications related to heart and blood vessel diseases. Acetylsalicylic acid acts as an antiplatelet agent, while atorvastatin helps to lower LDL cholesterol levels and increase HDL cholesterol. Ramipril, for its part, is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that contributes to blood pressure reduction and improves cardiac function.
Composition
Each Trinomia capsule contains: 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid, 20 mg of atorvastatin, and 5 mg of ramipril.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with a history of active gastrointestinal ulcers, hemorrhages, severe liver disease, or renal failure. It should not be administered in combination with other medications containing acetylsalicylic acid or anticoagulants without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or gastrointestinal problems. Likewise, it is important to monitor liver and kidney function during treatment. Trinomia should be used with care in elderly patients and those with conditions that increase the risk of hypotension.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
