Indications
Trezete is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia in adults, as an adjunct to diet. This medication is used in patients who require a reduction in LDL cholesterol and apolipoprotein B levels. It is also indicated for reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease or with type 2 diabetes and at least one additional risk factor.
Composition
Each Trezete tablet contains 20 mg of Rosuvastatin and 10 mg of Ezetimibe as active ingredients. Additionally, it contains excipients that allow for the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease or persistent elevation of transaminases, and during pregnancy and lactation. It should not be administered to patients receiving cyclosporine or with active myopathy.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of muscle diseases, kidney failure, or in those who consume excessive alcohol. It is important to monitor liver and muscle function in patients undergoing long-term treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to direct light and moisture.
