Indications

Trezete is indicated in the treatment of dyslipidemias, specifically in reducing LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Additionally, it is used in the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease or risk factors, such as diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, or a family history of premature cardiovascular disease. This medication works by inhibiting intestinal cholesterol absorption and reducing its production in the liver, resulting in a decrease in total and LDL cholesterol levels in the blood.

Composition

Each tablet contains: 10 mg of Rosuvastatin and 10 mg of Ezetimibe as active ingredients. Excipients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Trezete is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active liver disease or elevated transaminase levels. Likewise, it is contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Regular monitoring of cholesterol levels and liver function is recommended in patients treated with Trezete. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, or those taking other medications that may affect liver function. Its use is not recommended in patients under 18 years of age due to the lack of adequate studies in this population.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
