Indications
Trevissage is indicated for the treatment of severe forms of nodular and cystic acne that do not respond to treatment with oral and topical antibiotics. It is also used in cases of acne associated with other dermatological conditions, where the benefits of treatment are considered to outweigh the potential risks. Isotretinoin acts by reducing sebum production in the sebaceous glands, which decreases the formation of acne lesions. This medication must be used under strict medical supervision and should only be prescribed after a detailed evaluation of the patient's condition.
Composition
Each Trevissage capsule contains 20 mg of isotretinoin as an active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that allow for the formulation of the medication, ensuring its stability and efficacy.
Contraindications
Trevissage is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isotretinoin or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with severe liver diseases or uncontrolled hyperlipidemias.
Precautions
Regular monitoring of lipid levels and liver function is recommended during treatment. Special care should also be taken in patients with a history of depression or psychiatric illnesses. The use of Trevissage requires constant medical control due to the possible adverse effects associated with the treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
