Indications
Tresiba is indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, adolescents, and children aged 1 year and above. It is used for blood glucose control and can be administered in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulins. Insulin degludec provides a prolonged hypoglycemic effect, allowing for flexibility in administration time, which can facilitate treatment adherence and improve glucose control in patients with diabetes.
Composition
Each mL of Tresiba contains 100 units of insulin degludec. Excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, and water for injection.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to insulin degludec or any of the excipients. It should not be used during episodes of hypoglycemia or in patients with conditions that may predispose to severe hypoglycemia.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, as well as in those with variations in diet, exercise, or acute illness. Frequent blood glucose monitoring is recommended, especially at the start of treatment and when adjusting the dose. The risk of hypoglycemia should also be considered, which may be increased by changes in insulin dose, clinical conditions, or interactions with other medications.
Storage
Store refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once opened, Tresiba can be stored at room temperature (up to 30°C) for a maximum of 8 weeks. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
