Indications

Trazil Ofteno (Tobramycin) is indicated for the treatment of external ocular infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is primarily used in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and keratitis, as well as in postoperative infections following ocular surgery. Tobramycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, leading to the death of pathogenic bacteria. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions to ensure treatment effectiveness and prevent bacterial resistance.

Composition

Each ml of Trazil Ofteno contains: Tobramycin 3 mg. Excipients: sodium chloride, boric acid, preservative (benzalkonium chloride), and purified water.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tobramycin or other aminoglycosides. Its use is not recommended for viral, fungal, or tuberculous ocular infections, or in cases of chemical burns or severe ocular trauma without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with pre-existing kidney disease, as there may be an increase in systemic toxicity. Prolonged use of the product should be avoided, and the appearance of adverse reactions should be monitored. Do not touch the dropper tip to avoid contamination. It should be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if strictly necessary, under medical supervision.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
