Indications
Topron Suspension is indicated for the treatment of acute non-specific diarrhea in adults and children over 3 years of age. Its active ingredient, nifuroxazide, acts as a local antidiarrheal in the intestine, helping to reduce the frequency and severity of bowel movements. It is also used in mild intestinal infections, contributing to the recovery of intestinal balance. It is important to mention that its use should be accompanied by adequate hydration and, if symptoms persist, a doctor should be consulted to assess the need for additional treatment.
Composition
Each 100 ml of the suspension contains: Nifuroxazide 4.4 g. Excipients: Glycerin, benzoic acid, sodium benzoate, strawberry flavor, purified water.
Contraindications
Topron Suspension is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nifuroxazide or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in cases of diarrhea with blood in the stools or high fever, as well as in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of severe gastrointestinal diseases. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, medical attention should be sought. Use in children under 3 years of age is not recommended without medical supervision. Furthermore, it is important to avoid self-medication and follow the instructions of the treating physician.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures below 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
