Indications
Tipsallen 1.0% Gel is indicated for the treatment of superficial skin infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to clindamycin. This medication is primarily used in the treatment of acne vulgaris, as it acts by reducing inflammation and the number of acne lesions. Its formulation allows direct topical application, thus facilitating the local action of the drug. It may also be useful in the treatment of folliculitis and other bacterial skin infections.
Composition
Each 100 g of gel contains: Clindamycin (as hydrochloride) 1 g, excipients q.s.p. 100 g.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, or any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of ulcerative colitis or antibiotic-associated colitis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal problems. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of severe irritation or allergic reaction, discontinue use and consult a physician. A sensitivity test is recommended before starting treatment in case of recurrent infections.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
