Indications

Tim Asf XR (Quetiapine) is indicated for the treatment of psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and manic or mixed episodes. This medication works by balancing neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to improve psychotic symptoms and stabilize mood in patients. Its use must be supervised by a doctor, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's response.

Composition

Each Tim Asf XR tablet contains 50 mg of Quetiapine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Quetiapine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, as well as in those with severe cardiovascular disease, respiratory depression, or at low risk of suicide without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of seizures, liver diseases, cardiovascular problems, or those who are taking medications that may affect the central nervous system. Regular medical follow-up is important to monitor for possible adverse effects and adjust the dose if necessary.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, away from direct light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
