Indications
Theraflu Td is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of colds and flu. This medication combines paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic, with phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant. It is used to relieve symptoms such as fever, headache, nasal congestion, and general discomfort associated with respiratory infections. Its use is recommended for adults and children over 12 years of age to provide temporary relief of symptoms.
Composition
Each Theraflu Td sachet contains: Paracetamol 650 mg and Phenylephrine 10 mg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe liver disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or in patients taking MAO inhibitors. Furthermore, its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, or those who consume excessive alcohol. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose to avoid the risk of liver toxicity. Patients with thyroid conditions, an enlarged prostate, or glaucoma are advised to consult their doctor before using this product.
