Indications
Theraflu Sachets are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of colds and acute respiratory illnesses, including symptoms such as fever, headache, nasal congestion, and sneezing. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, thus relieving discomfort and reducing fever. Pheniramine, an antihistamine, helps alleviate allergy symptoms such as allergic rhinitis. Phenylephrine, a decongestant, facilitates breathing by reducing swelling of the nasal passages.
Composition
Each sachet contains: Paracetamol 650 mg, Pheniramine 20 mg, Phenylephrine 10 mg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components, in those with severe liver diseases, or those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Its use is not recommended in patients with angle-closure glaucoma or urinary retention due to pheniramine.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, or prostate problems. Prolonged use of paracetamol may affect liver function. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose and to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
