Indications
Theraflu Daytime is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with the common cold and flu, such as fever, headache, nasal congestion, cough, and general discomfort. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, providing pain relief and fever reduction. Dextromethorphan is an antitussive that helps suppress dry cough, while Phenylephrine acts as a nasal decongestant, relieving congestion and facilitating breathing.
Composition
Each sachet contains: 650 mg Paracetamol, 20 mg Dextromethorphan, and 10 mg Phenylephrine.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components. It should not be used in patients with severe liver diseases, nor in those who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have received these medications within the last 14 days.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or in those with a history of drug abuse. Its use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age without medical supervision. Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase the risk of liver damage.
