Indications

Tesacof Ad Solution is indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions accompanied by excessive mucus production, facilitating its elimination. It is used in cases of acute and chronic bronchitis, as well as in other obstructive pulmonary diseases where mucus breakdown and expulsion are necessary. Bromhexine acts as a mucolytic, helping to reduce mucus viscosity, which promotes its evacuation and improves respiratory function. It is useful in managing symptoms associated with respiratory infections and conditions that compromise lung function, helping to relieve cough and improve patient comfort.

Composition

Each 100 ml of Tesacof Ad Solution contains: Bromhexine 160 mg. Excipients: purified water, potassium sorbate, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bromhexine or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with a history of gastrointestinal ulcer. Medical monitoring is recommended for patients who are undergoing treatment with other medications that may interact with bromhexine. Its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a physician.
