Indications

Tenoretic is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension. This medication combines two antihypertensive agents: Atenolol, a beta-blocker that reduces heart rate and blood pressure, and Chlorthalidone, a diuretic that helps eliminate excess fluids and sodium from the body. The combined action of these components allows for more effective blood pressure control, especially in patients with essential hypertension. It can also be used in the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of ischemic heart disease.

The use of Tenoretic can be beneficial in patients with comorbidities, such as diabetes mellitus or renal insufficiency, where blood pressure control is crucial to prevent complications. Additionally, this medication can be part of a therapeutic regimen that includes lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise, to maximize its antihypertensive effects. It is important that the treatment is adjusted to the individual needs of the patient, and the physician should regularly monitor the response to treatment and possible adverse effects.

Tenoretic is contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, and in those with a history of allergic reactions to the components of the formula. Composition

Each Tenoretic tablet contains 100 mg of Atenolol and 25 mg of Chlorthalidone.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, severe bradycardia, atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, and a history of allergic reactions to beta-blockers.

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes, and in those with a history of cardiovascular diseases. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended.

Store at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
