Indications
Tenoretic is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure, as it combines the antihypertensive effects of atenolol, a beta-blocker, and chlorthalidone, a diuretic. It is effective in reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure, which helps decrease the risk of cardiovascular complications in hypertensive patients. It can also be used in the management of angina pectoris and in the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of coronary artery disease. The combination of these two active ingredients allows for more effective blood pressure control compared to the use of only one.
Composition
Each Tenoretic tablet contains 50 mg of Atenolol and 12.5 mg of Chlorthalidone.
Contraindications
Tenoretic is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, uncontrolled heart failure, and in those with a history of asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Furthermore, it should not be administered in combination with certain antihypertensive medications without proper supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, and kidney diseases. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function is recommended during treatment. Additionally, dose adjustment is suggested in elderly patients or those with complex clinical conditions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, and out of reach of children.
