Indications
Temerit (Nebivolol) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, as well as chronic heart failure. Its action is based on the reduction of heart rate and the decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, resulting in a decrease in blood pressure. This medication may also be useful in the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of coronary artery disease.
Composition
Each Temerit tablet contains 5 mg of Nebivolol as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Temerit is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Nebivolol or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, bronchial asthma, or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, among other conditions. It is also contraindicated in patients with sick sinus syndrome and in those receiving treatment with certain antiarrhythmics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, diabetes mellitus, or in those who are being treated with other antihypertensives. It is advisable to regularly monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment with Temerit. Furthermore, gradual dose reduction should be considered when discontinuing treatment.
Storage
Store the medicine in its original container, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
