Indications
Temerit (Nebivolol) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication acts as a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker, resulting in decreased heart rate and reduced myocardial contractility. Additionally, Nebivolol has vasodilating properties, contributing to the reduction of peripheral vascular resistance. Its use is recommended in patients requiring blood pressure control and in those with associated conditions, such as mild to moderate congestive heart failure, always under medical supervision.
Composition
Each Temerit tablet contains 5 mg of Nebivolol as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, starch, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Temerit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nebivolol or any of its components. It should not be used in patients with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, decompensated heart failure, and in those with asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, and in those undergoing surgery. It is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can lead to worsening angina or myocardial infarction.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 °C and 30 °C, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
