Indications
Tego is a medication indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea, as well as in the prevention of dehydration. It is used in cases where a protective effect on the intestinal mucosa is required, helping to reduce irritation and promoting the regeneration of damaged tissue. It may also be useful in situations of malabsorption and in patients with colitis or intestinal irritation. Its use is recommended under medical supervision in cases of infectious diarrhea or in patients with pre-existing conditions that may complicate the clinical picture.
Composition
Each sachet of Tego contains 250 mg of Gelatin Tannate as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Gelatin Tannate or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with intestinal obstruction or severe gastrointestinal pathology without the supervision of a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with Gelatin Tannate. Adequate monitoring is recommended in elderly patients or those with chronic conditions.
Storage
Store in its original container, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
