Indications
Tebonin OD is indicated for the treatment of memory and concentration disorders, as well as for improving cerebral circulation. It is frequently used in patients who present symptoms related to decreased cerebral blood flow, such as dizziness, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and memory disorders, especially in older adults. Furthermore, it can be useful in the treatment of cognitive function disorders and in the management of symptoms associated with anxiety and depression that affect quality of life. Its effect is based on Ginkgo Biloba's property of improving microcirculation and protecting cells against oxidative damage.
Composition
Each Tebonin OD tablet contains 240 mg of Ginkgo Biloba extract, standardized to 24% ginkgoflavone glycosides and 6% terpenoids, in addition to excipients necessary for the formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ginkgo Biloba or to any of the components of the formula. Likewise, its use should be avoided in patients with bleeding conditions or who are being treated with anticoagulants, as it may increase the risk of bleeding.
Precautions
Tebonin OD should be used with caution in patients with a history of seizures, bleeding disorders, or those scheduled for surgery. It is important that patients inform their doctor about all medications they are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements, to avoid interactions. It is suggested not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if adverse effects occur.
