Indications
Taxus (Tamoxifen) is indicated for the treatment of breast cancer in women and men, particularly those with positive hormone receptors. It is used in patients diagnosed with early and advanced stage breast cancer, as well as in those who have received surgical treatment and radiation therapy. It is also considered for the prevention of breast cancer in women at high risk of developing the disease. Taxus acts as a selective estrogen receptor modulator, blocking the effects of estrogen on breast tissue, which is fundamental in adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Tamoxifen (as citrate) 20 mg. Excipients: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tamoxifen or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of active venous thromboembolism or a history of thrombosis, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women, due to the potential risk to the fetus or infant.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of thromboembolism or liver problems. It must be used under strict medical supervision in patients with cardiovascular diseases. Regular monitoring of the patient's health, including periodic gynecological examinations, is important due to the risk of developing endometrial cancer associated with tamoxifen use.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
