Indications
Tarka is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensives. The combination of Verapamil, a calcium channel blocker, and Trandolapril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, helps to reduce blood pressure and improve its control in patients with essential hypertension. Furthermore, it can be useful in patients with heart failure, as both components contribute to improving cardiac function and exercise tolerance.
Composition
Each Tarka tablet contains: Verapamil 180 mg and Trandolapril 2 mg.
Contraindications
Tarka is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with decompensated heart failure, second or third-degree AV block, and in patients receiving beta-blocker treatments. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with stable heart failure. It is important to regularly monitor blood pressure during treatment with Tarka, and to be alert for possible side effects such as dizziness or hypotension. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
