Indications
Tardyferon Fol is indicated for the prevention and treatment of iron and folic acid deficiency in patients with iron deficiency anemia. This medication is used in situations requiring an increased intake of iron and folic acid, such as during pregnancy, lactation, or in cases of deficient diets. Additionally, it is useful in patients with conditions affecting the absorption of these nutrients, such as gastrointestinal diseases or surgeries affecting the digestive tract.
Composition
Each Tardyferon Fol tablet contains:
- Ferrous Sulfate: 80 mg
- Folic Acid: 0.35 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with iron overload or non-iron deficiency anemia. It should not be administered to patients with hemochromatosis or hemosiderosis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Tardyferon Fol in patients with liver or kidney diseases. Furthermore, regular medical monitoring is recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and adjust the dose if necessary. Self-medication is not recommended, and it is essential to follow the doctor's instructions to avoid adverse effects.
Storage
Store the medication in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
