Indications
Tafitram is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, which may include postoperative pain, cancer-related pain, musculoskeletal pain, and neuropathic pain. This medication combines the analgesic properties of paracetamol and tramadol, providing a synergistic effect that helps relieve pain effectively. Its use should be supervised by a physician and is recommended for patients who have not responded adequately to other non-opioid analgesics. It is essential to evaluate the cause of the pain and to consider the appropriate treatment for each particular case.
Composition
Each Tafitram tablet contains: 325 mg of paracetamol and 37.5 mg of tramadol.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol, tramadol, or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe respiratory conditions, such as severe bronchial asthma, as well as those with a history of substance abuse or opioid dependence. It is also contraindicated in patients who are receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those who have consumed excessive alcohol.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney problems, as well as in those who are taking other medications that may interact with tramadol or paracetamol. Regular medical monitoring is recommended to assess efficacy and the appearance of adverse effects. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and not to use this medication for prolonged periods without the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
