Indications

Tafil (Alprazolam) is indicated in the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and as an adjunct in the treatment of depression. This medication acts on the central nervous system, helping to reduce excessive neuronal activity that can lead to anxiety symptoms. It is used in patients presenting with generalized anxiety symptoms, panic attacks, or severe anxiety episodes. It can also be used in situations of acute stress, where rapid relief of anxious symptoms is required.

Composition

Each Tafil tablet contains 0.25 mg of Alprazolam as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Tafil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Alprazolam or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, severe respiratory insufficiency, or in combination with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors. Furthermore, its use during pregnancy and lactation must be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse, severe depression, or liver and kidney diseases. It is important not to interrupt treatment abruptly, as this can lead to withdrawal symptoms. The use of Tafil may cause drowsiness, so care should be taken when driving or performing activities that require attention.

Storage

Store the medication in its original packaging, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
