Indications
Tabcin Noche is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with colds and allergies, including fever, headache, nasal congestion, and cough. This medication combines paracetamol, which acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, with dextromethorphan, an antitussive that suppresses cough, and phenylephrine, a decongestant that reduces nasal congestion. It is useful for those seeking nighttime relief from common cold and flu symptoms, allowing for restful sleep.
Composition
Each capsule contains:
- Paracetamol: 500 mg
- Dextromethorphan: 15 mg
- Phenylephrine: 10 mg
Contraindications
Tabcin Noche is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in individuals with severe liver disease or those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). It is also contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure or those with severe heart disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or respiratory distress, as well as in those who regularly consume alcohol. Prolonged or excessive use of paracetamol can lead to liver toxicity. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if in doubt.
