Indications

Tabcin Active is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of colds and flu, relieving symptoms such as fever, headache, nasal congestion, and cough. It contains paracetamol, which acts as an analgesic and antipyretic; phenylephrine, which acts as a decongestant; dextromethorphan, an antitussive that helps reduce the urge to cough; and chlorphenamine, an antihistamine that relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing and itching in the nose or throat. This medication is useful for managing symptoms associated with acute and chronic respiratory infections, providing temporary relief to improve the patient's quality of life during the illness episode.

Composition

Each capsule of Tabcin Active contains:

• Paracetamol: 500 mg
• Phenylephrine: 10 mg
• Dextromethorphan: 15 mg
• Chlorphenamine: 2 mg

Contraindications

Tabcin Active is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components, as well as in those with severe liver disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or who are using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Its use is not recommended in patients with asthma or chronic obstructive diseases without medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering this medication to individuals with a history of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or thyroid problems. Prolonged use of paracetamol can cause liver damage, so the recommended dose should not be exceeded. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
