Indications
Synthroid is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. This medication helps restore adequate hormone levels, which can improve related symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, and cold sensitivity. In addition, it is used as replacement therapy in patients who have undergone total or partial thyroidectomy and in the treatment of non-toxic goiters and as part of the treatment of certain types of thyroid cancer. It is essential that the dose be adjusted according to the patient's clinical response and blood thyroid hormone levels.
Composition
Each Synthroid tablet contains 100 mcg of Levothyroxine Sodium as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Levothyroxine Sodium or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of acute myocardial infarction, untreated adrenal disease, and in patients with untreated thyrotoxicosis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, intestinal absorption problems, or those receiving anticoagulant treatment. It is important to regularly monitor thyroid hormone levels and adjust the dose as needed. Care should also be taken when using this medication during pregnancy and lactation, under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
