Indications
Synalar Oft Drops is indicated for the treatment of various ocular conditions involving inflammation and/or infection. It is effective in the management of allergic conjunctivitis, bacterial conjunctivitis, and other inflammatory eye conditions that may benefit from the combined action of a corticosteroid and antibiotics. Fluocinolone acts as an anti-inflammatory, while polymyxin B and neomycin are antibiotics that help combat bacterial infections. This medication should be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional to ensure its proper indication and use.
Composition
Each mL of Synalar Oft Drops contains: Fluocinolone (0.1 mg), Polymyxin B (10,000 U), Neomycin (3.5 mg), excipients q.s. 1 mL.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in viral, fungal, or tuberculous eye infections. It is also contraindicated in patients with glaucoma and in those with a history of adverse reactions to corticosteroids.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with a history of ocular herpes simplex, as the use of corticosteroids can exacerbate this condition. It is recommended to avoid contact of the dropper with the eye or any surface to prevent contamination. This medication should be used with caution in patients with systemic diseases requiring the use of corticosteroids.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
