Indications
Supra (Lidamidina) is indicated for the treatment of viral infections, particularly those caused by retroviridae family viruses. This medication is primarily used in the management of HIV infection in adult and pediatric patients, as well as for the treatment of certain viral infections in immunocompromised patients. Lidamidina acts by inhibiting viral replication, which helps control the viral load in the body. It can also be used in combination with other antiretrovirals to improve treatment efficacy. It is essential that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional due to the complexity of treating viral infections and the need for adequate clinical monitoring.
Composition
Each Supra tablet contains 4 mg of Lidamidina as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Supra is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Lidamidina or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Likewise, its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless the benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus or infant. It should not be used in patients with severe liver diseases or severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those who are receiving other medications that may interact with Lidamidina. Continuous monitoring of liver and kidney function is essential during treatment. In addition, the possibility of developing viral resistance during prolonged treatment should be evaluated.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
