Indications

Sucrate (bismuth subcitrate) is indicated for the treatment of gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as for the prevention of complications related to these conditions. Its protective action on the gastric mucosa helps reduce irritation and promote healing. It can also be used in the management of diarrhea and in the treatment of malabsorption syndromes, providing an adsorbent and anti-inflammatory effect.

Composition

Each capsule contains: Bismuth subcitrate 500 mg. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bismuth subcitrate or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe renal insufficiency or in patients with active gastrointestinal bleeding, as well as in those with a history of complicated peptic ulcers.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with a history of kidney or liver diseases. Likewise, it is recommended to evaluate the need for its use in patients who are taking other medications that may interact with bismuth subcitrate. It is important to carry out medical monitoring during treatment to evaluate efficacy and the appearance of possible adverse effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
