Indications

Strattera is a medication indicated for the treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents aged 6 years and older, as well as in adults. Atomoxetine acts as a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which helps improve attention and reduce impulsivity and hyperactivity. Its use should be part of a comprehensive treatment program that includes appropriate psychosocial and educational measures.

Composition

Each milliliter of solution contains 4 mg of atomoxetine. Excipients: purified water, hydrochloric acid, among others.

Contraindications

Strattera is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atomoxetine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver disease or in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or psychiatric problems. It is advisable to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment. Atomoxetine may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts in some patients, so continuous assessment of mental status is suggested.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
