Indications
Stalevo is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in patients requiring levodopa therapy. This medication combines three active ingredients: levodopa, which is converted to dopamine in the brain; carbidopa, which helps prevent the premature conversion of levodopa to dopamine outside the brain; and entacapone, which prolongs the effect of levodopa by inhibiting the catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) enzyme. This combination allows for better control of motor symptoms, reducing fluctuations in medication response and improving the quality of life in patients with advanced Parkinson's disease.
Composition
Each tablet contains: 200 mg Levodopa, 50 mg Carbidopa, and 200 mg Entacapone.
Contraindications
Stalevo is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with melanoma or a history of melanoma, as well as in those with certain severe psychiatric disorders. It should not be administered to patients who are receiving MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, or psychiatric disorders. Regular medical follow-up is important to observe the response to treatment and adjust the dose if necessary. In some cases, adverse effects such as dyskinesias may occur, requiring medical attention.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
