Indications
Sophixin Dx Ofteno is indicated for the treatment of ocular infections caused by bacteria susceptible to ciprofloxacin, as well as for the management of inflammatory processes in the eye that may benefit from the anti-inflammatory action of dexamethasone. This medication is useful in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, and other ocular infections, as well as in conditions requiring local anti-inflammatory treatment.
Composition
Each ml of solution contains: Ciprofloxacin 3 mg and Dexamethasone 1 mg, plus excipients q.s. for 1 ml.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone, or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in viral or fungal eye infections, nor in patients with herpes simplex or ocular tuberculosis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other antibiotics in the fluoroquinolone group. Prolonged use is also not recommended, as it may increase the risk of secondary infections. During treatment, monitoring of clinical response and the possible presence of adverse effects is advised.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
