Indications
Somazina is indicated for the treatment of neurological diseases and cognitive disorders. It is especially useful in the recovery of patients with ischemic brain damage, as well as in improving memory and attention in patients with dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders. It is also recommended in cases of traumatic brain injury and in neurological rehabilitation. Citicoline, its active ingredient, acts as a precursor of membrane phospholipids, facilitating neuronal repair and regeneration, which contributes to improved cognitive function.
Composition
Each Somazina tablet contains 500 mg of citicoline as an active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Somazina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to citicoline or any of the excipients in the formulation. Likewise, its use should be avoided in patients with severe uncontrolled medical conditions, as well as in those with a history of severe cardiovascular disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using Somazina in patients with a history of heart disease or unstable blood pressure. In addition, it should be used with caution in patients with a history of bleeding disorders. It is essential to assess the risk-benefit in each patient before starting treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
