Indications
Somazina is indicated for the treatment of neurological diseases and cognitive disorders. It is used to improve brain function in cases of stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's. Additionally, citicoline has been shown to be useful in managing cognitive deficits and in the recovery of impaired mental functions. This medication can promote memory, attention, and learning, serving as support in the rehabilitation of patients with brain damage.
Composition
Each Somazina tablet contains 500 mg of citicoline as the active ingredient. It also includes excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Somazina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to citicoline or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy or seizures, as it could increase the risk of seizures.
Precautions
Patients are advised to consult their doctor before starting treatment if they are taking other medications, especially those affecting the nervous system. The use of Somazina in patients with cardiovascular diseases or bleeding disorders should be evaluated. It is also important to consider its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, always under appropriate medical supervision.
