Indications

Somazina is indicated for the treatment of neurological disorders, as citicoline is a precursor to cellular membrane phospholipids, which aids in the repair and maintenance of neuronal membrane integrity. It is used in the treatment of cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, and as an adjuvant in Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Additionally, citicoline has shown benefits in improving memory and cognitive function in patients with mild cognitive impairment.

Composition

Each Somazina ampoule contains: Citicoline 1000 mg in 4 ml of injectable solution.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to citicoline or any component of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe cardiovascular disease without proper medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy, as citicoline could provoke seizures in susceptible individuals. Likewise, regular monitoring is recommended in geriatric patients due to the possible occurrence of adverse effects. It is important to maintain medical follow-up during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
