Indications
Smofkabiven Central is a parenteral nutrition solution indicated for administration in patients who cannot receive nutrition orally or enterally. It is used in situations of intestinal failure, short bowel syndrome, or in critical patients requiring nutritional support. It is also indicated in cases of malnutrition, where adequate weight recovery and nutritional status are sought. The formulation is designed to meet the energy and macronutrient needs of adult and pediatric patients, providing an optimal balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids.
Composition
Smofkabiven Central contains a balanced mixture of amino acids, lipid emulsions, dextrose, electrolytes, and vitamins, which together provide complete and adequate nutrition for the patient. Each 1970 mL of the solution contains 2200 Kcal, ensuring sufficient energy intake for the maintenance of basal metabolism and the patient's daily activities.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to any of its components, as well as in those with medical conditions that prevent the administration of parenteral nutrition, such as certain metabolic diseases or insulin production disorders. It is also contraindicated in cases of severe renal failure and acute hepatopathies.
Precautions
Close monitoring of patients is recommended during the administration of Smofkabiven Central, especially in those with a history of cardiac, pulmonary, or renal diseases. Likewise, it is important to consider the possibility of adverse reactions and adjust the dosage according to the individual needs of the patient.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
