Indications
Smofkabiven Central is a parenteral nutritional solution indicated for feeding patients who cannot receive adequate nutrition orally or enterally. It is designed to provide an optimal balance of macronutrients, including carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, as well as essential micronutrients necessary for the maintenance of health and well-being. It is used in clinical situations requiring nutritional support, such as in critically ill patients, postoperative patients, or those with severe digestive disorders. It is also indicated in patients with malnutrition or at risk of malnutrition who cannot be fed by other routes.
Composition
The Smofkabiven Central formula includes a mixture of amino acids, lipids, carbohydrates, electrolytes, vitamins, and trace elements, providing complete and balanced nutrition. The exact composition may vary and should be consulted on the product labeling.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with severe metabolic disorders that cannot be managed by the administration of parenteral nutritional solutions. It should not be administered in cases of severe renal or hepatic insufficiency without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions

- Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
