Indications
Sirdalud is indicated for the treatment of muscle spasticity in various neurological conditions that cause muscle tension, such as multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injuries. It can also be useful in the management of acute and chronic muscle pain, by helping to reduce tension and facilitate mobility. Its use must be supervised by a physician, and the dose should be adjusted according to the patient's clinical response and tolerance to the treatment.
Composition
Each Sirdalud tablet contains 2 mg of Tizanidine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tizanidine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver diseases, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Likewise, it should not be administered in combination with potent CYP1A2 inhibitors, such as fluvoxamine, due to the possibility of increasing plasma Tizanidine levels.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Sirdalud to patients with a history of liver disease, hypotension, or sedation. Concomitant use with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants should be avoided, as this may potentiate the sedative effects of the medication. Discontinuation of treatment should be done gradually to avoid the appearance of withdrawal symptoms.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Protect from moisture and direct light.
